We spent 5 wonderful days at the cottage. Our family had a great time - and our dog certainly made himself at home right away. It seems like Laura thought of everything - the kitchen had a full set of spices, cleaning supplies and extra garbage bags. Towels and linens were plentiful and the welcome sign and amenities were an excellent touch. Laura was super responsive whenever we had questions. Coffee on the dock is highly recommended.

By far the best and prettiest cottage I've ever stayed at! Everything was extremely clean and beautiful. We loved the attention to detail and how everything provided was thought out. You really don't have to bring much here, just your food and clothes, everything else is already there for you! Laura was super attentive and available to you. We loved our stay!

From initial inquiry to final departure, our experience was fantastic. Nestled in the trees, the cottage is everything you want it to be. It is beautifully renovated inside and out, bringing modern-day luxury to the simple laid back feel of being in nature. Laura was a very gracious and accommodating host! She is very friendly, helpful and responsive. We would revisit for sure. Thank you!

H2H was absolutely gorgeous!! Very spacious, beautiful views, super comfortable and well equipped. The area is spectacular with lots of activities near by. Large property and very private. The host was super responsive and helpful!

We spent four lovely winter nights at Laura‘s cottage in Haliburton on Bitter Lake. We were fortunate to have lots of snow! The cottage was surrounded by pines and firs, which made it very private and peaceful. We felt right at home at Laura’s place. Everything was clean, well organized, tastefully decorated, and everything you could need for a comfortable stay and more. She welcomed us with a very thoughtful gift, even treats for our dog! We enjoyed the fireplace, large and lovely loft bedroom, TV room and lots of games around the dining room table. Snowshoes were included, which was great, as we were able to go for a walk in Haliburton forest. We would highly recommend Laura’s cottage!!!

This is a fantastic place to stay. It's clean and hospitable, with everything you need for a vacation--right down to strong wi-fi. Seriously, the wi-fi here is much better than we've seen for cottage country this far north. The firepit and yoga deck provide good opportunities for outdoor relaxing. The cabin is stocked with plenty of games to play, and you'll find everything you need for cooking or relaxing. Plus a solid table and several other nooks in the house for knocking out work. It was a pleasure chatting with the host--she provided advice on activities and even which shops nearby were the best. It's clear that this cottage is a labor of love. I'm hoping we can make it back out there again sometime soon!

Had the BEST time at H2H Bitter Lakefront Cottage!!! Our visit was over Labour Day long weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in LOVE from the moment we arrived. The outside of the property is gorgeous and well maintained. We made use of the fire pit (After sundown of course), the wrap around deck connected to the house with the BBQ which included an outdoor eating area (also perfect of staring at the sunrise with a cup of coffee), The lakefront glass side deck situated halfway down to the lake (was great to chill out here and look over the lake), and lastly the floating dock on the lake and the kayaks/paddle boards/life jackets. The floating dock is perfect for sunbathing as well as jumping into the lake. The inside of the cottage was everything we could hope for and more. The place is perfectly stocked, thoughtfully staged and overall is well designed/has charm. From towels for lake use, to the comfiest couches, to a multitude of throws/pillows, the place was spotless and very inviting. All linens were clean and beds were very comfortable. Aside from the incredible spice drawer, the Kitchen is great and has everything you will need. The entire cottage is very picturesque, which we loved and lent well to taking some great photos. Laura was an incredible host. She was kind, caring and very attentive to any and all questions we had. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves as well as let us know about weather updates for the next day and made suggestions if we needed them. Thank you Laura for hosting us and being available to answer all our questions. Your home is very beautiful and we appreciate the fantastic hospitality. We hope to return as soon as we can :).

We cannot say enough good things about the H2H Cottage. The property is both beautiful and peaceful, with something for all occasions including: swimming in the lake, sitting around the fire, relaxing with a book and taking in the view, or hiking around the area. The cottage is the perfect combination of modern luxuries and cottage coziness, with everything you need and more. Everything has been thoughtfully designed and set up. L C was very responsive, hugely helpful, and a pleasure to communicate with. It was clear she has thought of everything so you don't have to. She made us feel welcome and comfortable every step of the way. She was a true host and enhanced an already great trip. We had such a wonderful time at the H2H Cottage, and would highly recommend it. That was a dreamtime those 5 days in this cottage . All was very clean. A Christmas décoration, little presents, and welcome personnal Words were waiting of us. The smell in the cottage was so good! The bed very confortable and la suite parentale, royale. Lot of walks to do, vieuw on the lake... a dream!!!! Lot of games are on the place.

Beautiful!! Came to Bitter Lake for a week on my Honeymoon. Definitely recommend staying here. Very peaceful, clean and cute! Laura is an amazing Host. Everything you need in a cottage is there. Any questions we had were answered quickly. Will definitely be back next year!!

My family and I just spent 2 weeks at the cottage on Bitter Lake and had a fantastic time. The cottage and property are beautiful. Large grassy lawn with an amazing big fire pit to enjoy star gazing and marshmallow roasting. Surrounded by trees so you feel very private. The cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable. It was incredibly clean and organized . The bathrooms were new and beautiful. Towels and linens provided made packing so easy. Just took our food and clothes. We drank the water from the tap and it was wonderful. The deck midway between the cottage and dock was a nice added sitting area where we would take our lunch and a drink as it gets amazing sun in the afternoon. The dock was large enough for 4 adults and our dog to sit comfortably. The ladder into the water was great for those is us that can't jump right in. The lake itself is great . The water felt clean and refreshing. As the lake is not super large, there was not a lot of boat traffic, which was wonderful. Having the use of the 2 kayaks and 2 waterboards really enhanced our time as it was nice to get onto the water and paddle and explore the lake a bit. Laura has thought of everything that you need to arrive and settle in quickly and start enjoying your vacation. We even had a s'mores kit and doggy treats for our fur baby. If you are looking for an updated, clean , comfortable cottage on a beautiful property and lake I would highly recommend. Laura is a thoughtful and responsive hostess.

We had a fantastic week at H2H cottage. Nice lake and lots of fun on the water with the provided paddle board amd kayaks. The cottage is cozy and beautifully decorated. Laura truly has thought of everything to make her guests feel comfortable. Would definitely return!

We spent an wonderful two weeks at Laura's cottage and highly recommend it! Laura has done an amazing job in setting you up for an excellent holiday. The description she's provided of the cottage says it all. The setting is beautiful and relaxing. The cottage is cozy and rustic but also has updated and modern amenities. Just enough basic supplies are provided that we weren't rushing out to buy things (so helpful and also less wasteful). The interior and landscaping create a cozy cottage vibe. Bitter lake is a smaller lake (but big enough!) with friendly people. There is minimal boat traffic and boat operators were very respectful. There is lots to do in the area, and if you choose to stay in there are paddle boards and kayaks at the cottage. For the first time in 3 years I felt I truly "relaxed" and am grateful for time spent at Laura's cottage. We hope to visit again in the future.

We had the absolute pleasure to stay at H2H cottage at Bitter lake the first week of July 2022. From our first interaction with Laura - we were thrilled! She is attentive and very helpful. The cottage is gorgeous with amazing views from multiple vantage points. The inside is spacious and designed beautifully. They have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We had so much fun on the dock, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit and eating outside on the deck. We loved the size of the lake with tons of greenery and can imagine how beautiful it would be in the fall. Laura is an amazing host. She checked in on us often to make sure we were ok and to see if we needed anything. We had a fabulous time and look forward to coming back. Thank you so much for a wonderful week!

What a beautiful cottage and place to relax! We had such a wonderful time at bitter lake. The cottage was so cozy, clean and had everything you could possibly need to make you feel like you're at home for the week. Laura was such a great host to our family and so attentive. She communicated the entire time to ensure we had everything we needed. Laura certainly goes above and beyond to make your stay at Bitter lake a great one! She has put so much thought into detail, including welcome gifts, even for our dog. We cannot wait to go back!
